Voluntary Assisted Dying

Voluntary assisted dying (VAD) is the assistance provided to a person by a health practitioner to end their life. Laws that legalise VAD have been passed in five of Australia's six States - Victoria, Western Australia, Tasmania, South Australia, and Queensland.
